Read the success story →A Shopify app against a tool for the whole web. Both publish their prices — the difference is what you can test, and what the price is measured in.

What sets Varify apart
Shoplift publishes its prices, and so do we. The difference is what the price is measured in: store visitors with a ceiling, or a flat rate per domain.
Every plan, price and billing model in detail
See pricing →As of 18 September 2026, read from the vendor's pricing page in both billing modes and from its documentation at docs.shoplift.ai. Prices exclude tax; the vendor's own offer always takes precedence.
Every feature side by side. Shoplift is built for Shopify and does that one job natively, which is where it wins and where it stops.
Flat price per domain available
Shoplift bills by total monthly store visitors — everyone who lands on the store, not only those in a test — with a ceiling per plan. Varify bills a flat price per domain, whatever the traffic.
Multiple domains in one contract
Shoplift installs per Shopify store and offers special pricing from five stores on request, but publishes no figure for it. At Varify via credits, 1 credit = 1 domain per month.
Pricing published
Both publish in full. Shoplift lists $99 and $399 monthly, $74, $299 and $699 annually, each with its visitor ceiling; Varify the flat price per domain.
Company and hosting in the EU
Shoplift is operated by Plurality Digital Inc.; no EU company or hosting region is published. Varify is a German company hosting in Germany.
A/B experiments
Template, theme and URL tests.
Split URL experiments
URL split testing is in the entry plan.
Multivariate experiments
Not offered. Shoplift tests templates, themes and URLs against each other.
Multipage and funnel experiments
Theme testing changes global elements across the whole store rather than one page.
Server-side experiments
Conversions are tracked through Shopify's server-side Web Pixel API, but the experiments themselves are theme-level. Varify via API.
Experiments in native apps via SDK
Shopify storefronts only. Varify covers the web.
Feature-flag experiments
Not offered. At Varify via the API for server-side experiments.
Visual editor without developers
You edit in Shopify's own theme editor: Shoplift duplicates the template rather than shipping an editor of its own. Varify's editor works on any site.
Code editor for JavaScript and CSS
Variation code lives in the Shopify theme. Shoplift adds a JavaScript API for custom tests from the Advanced plan.
AI assistant for variations
Not published. At Varify via Prompt Based Experimentation.
Ready-made widgets (pop-up, USP bar, exit intent)
No widget library. At Varify as Campaign Booster.
Anti-flicker protection
Two mechanisms: the variation is a real Shopify template rather than a repaint, and when a test starts Shoplift adds an anti-flicker component to the script, which sits directly after the opening head tag. Varify snippet: 11.5 KB.
Changes go live without a deploy
AI writes variation code from a prompt
Not published. At Varify as Prompt Based Experimentation, 1 AI credit per variation.
AI audit with prioritized experiment ideas
Not published; the Pro plan includes a storefront audit and testing roadmap as a human service. AI CRO Audit: up to 10 ideas per page, with severity and an estimated CVR impact.
Control from your own LLM (MCP)
Not published. At Varify as Varify MCP.
AI-assisted result interpretation
Lift Assist is listed on the Advanced plan without a published description.
Evaluation in your own analytics possible
GA4 integration from the Advanced plan, plus an order-level export. Varify can evaluate entirely in the customer's system.

BigQuery analysis
Not named; the Advanced plan offers advanced data exports.
Bayesian statistics
Shoplift's analysis is Bayesian predictive, in every plan.

None. Varify has none either and does not replace Hotjar or Clarity.

Guaranteed response time
Email and chat support are listed; no service level is published.
Guided onboarding
Live guided onboarding, a storefront audit and a testing roadmap are part of the Pro plan.
Works without cookies
Shoplift activates analytics tracking only once analytics consent is given and reads Shopify's Customer Privacy API; what it stores in the browser is not documented. Varify stores the assignment in local storage.

Shoplift describes the data it collects as anonymized and acts as processor on the merchant's instructions.
SSO via Azure or SAML
Access runs through the Shopify account; SAML is not offered.
Two-factor authentication
Through the Shopify account.
DPA in German
Shoplift publishes a data processing agreement, in English.

Source: Claude Research, September 2026. All competitor information comes from publicly available sources: vendor websites, product documentation, app store listings and review platforms. Add the snippet, launch your first experiment, analyze what you learn. The AI CRO Audit supplies the idea, Prompt Based Experimentation builds the variation — you describe it in one sentence.

Launch your first experiment
Varify picks up the goals from your existing analytics setup. Build the variation in the visual editor, or describe it as a prompt.
Analyze and learn
Analyze in Varify or in your own analytics — with the same goal definitions you use today.
Experiments still running with your current vendor can keep running until you stop them. We are there for the launch.

Real user numbers and star ratings in the hero area built trust where a product claim had not.
Read the success story →In two places. The AI CRO Audit analyzes a URL and returns up to 10 prioritized experiment ideas with a severity rating and an estimated CVR impact. Prompt Based Experimentation then builds the variation and its code from a description in plain language. Varify MCP lets you drive both from your own LLM. It is billed in AI credits, and Growth and Pro include 3 per month.
You pay a flat price per domain, regardless of visitor numbers — with your own analytics or with Varify Realtime Tracking. The price is published openly on the pricing page.
Shoplift publishes everything: paid monthly, Core is $99 and Advanced $399; paid annually they are $74 and $299, and Pro is $699 — annual only, there is no monthly Pro. Each plan carries a ceiling on total monthly store visitors: 50K, 100K and 250K. That count is everyone who lands on the store, not only the visitors in a test, so a busy shop reaches the next tier without running more experiments. Varify charges a flat price per domain with no traffic ceiling.
They keep running until you stop them. Varify rebuilds the active variations including targeting, both snippets run in parallel, and the numbers are cross-checked before the old tool is switched off.
Snippet and goals are done in a morning, and the first experiment usually goes live in the same week. Experiments with your current vendor can keep running as long as you like.
No. Varify stores the variation assignment in local storage, without personal data. Whether that needs consent on your site is a decision for you and your data protection officer.
That is out of date. Varify has its own analysis, and you can additionally or instead evaluate in GA4, BigQuery, Matomo, Piwik PRO or PostHog. You decide which number is the one that counts.
